Student Pathway

SHARP (Scribe Healthcare Advance Recruitment Pathway)

This pathway aims to recruit local individuals who have obtained a college degree and are planning to apply to medical school (MD or DO), physician assistant (PA) school, or a nurse practitioner (NP) program in this upcoming cycle, next cycle, or foreseeable near future. This pathway will give its participants opportunities to scribe in the medical field of their interest, shadow providers, receive one-on-one mentoring from a resident physician or PA/NP fellow, attend post graduate training noon conferences, and be involved in a healthcare related community event. Participants will also complete and present a clinical quality improvement project that will help our clinic optimize our patient’s healthcare outcomes. This pathway’s goals are to promote, encourage, and support local individuals who ultimately want to return to practice in rural Northern California as healthcare providers.
