Dental
To meet the need of our patients, Shasta Community Health Center Dental Clinic provides examinations, cleaning, fluoride treatments, x-ray services, and education in preventive care. Our dental services include fillings, crowns, bridges, partial and full dentures, extractions, root canals, and minor oral surgery, within our scope of expertise. When other dental services are required, our dental staff will provide patients a list of specialists.
Early Intervention Services (EIS-HIV Program)
The Early Intervention Services Program provides HIV/AIDS medical care for those who do not have health insurance, have insufficient insurance, or limited financial resources. Other services include: HIV/AIDS counseling, risk reduction counseling, case management, and health promotion. We assist with referrals to services such as dental, nutrition, and mental health as well as referrals to medication assistance program, food programs, support groups and much more.
Health Care
Our Primary Healthcare Services include:
- Family Practice and Pediatrics (Children’s Health Services)
- Primary care services are provided by a skilled team of primary care providers made up of family physicians, pediatricians, family nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
- On-site laboratory and x-ray services.
HOPE
The mission of Project HOPE is to deliver to the most vulnerable citizens of our community the primary healthcare services essential for human wellness. The HOPE van is equipped with two exam rooms that may be used for medical treatment. The center of the van is set up with a nursing and intake area.
Integrated Substance Abuse Program (ISAP)
To provide accessible, quality, and individualized substance abuse treatment support services to the patients of Shasta Community Health Center. We do this with the utmost respect, compassion, and understanding for every individual. We believe that every patient is the expert of their lives and deserves to be a partner in designing their own treatment plan. Our counselors and staff provide each patient with options. We encourage personal choice and partner with patients in identifying their priorities and putting plans into action.
Interpreters
Southeast Asian: SCHC does employ a Southeast Asian Interpreter and Community Health Worker. They can be contacted by calling our Southeast Asian Phone Line 246-5789.
Spanish: We also have the services of Spanish speaking medical and support staff.
Maternity
At Shasta Community Medical Center our healthcare teams are committed to offering compassionate, quality care for you and your baby, from the time you find out you’re pregnant through delivery and after.
NP/PA Post Graduate Fellowship Program
Shasta Community Health Center’s (SCHC) NP/PA Post Graduate Primary Care Fellowship Program is specifically designed for newly graduated and licensed NPs and PAs who desire:
- Additional training in the area of primary care
- Mentorship and guidance from seasoned clinicians
- Experience providing healthcare to a diverse patient population within the community health care clinic setting
Patient Education
Shasta Community Health Center knows that understanding and managing personal health needs can be a challenge. One of our goals is to empower patients to reach their health and wellness goals through education. We offer several self-management programs to help patients make the most of their time and energy. There are also many types of programs available, giving access to a wide variety of resources.
Residency
Our goal is to train full spectrum family practice physicians to practice in a Community Health Center environment serving the otherwise medically underserved. The faculty at the SCHC Family Medicine Residency will strive to create the next generation of caring, dedicated health care providers.
Telemedicine
One of the ways that SCHC ensures quality health care services, is to provide access to specialty care to help you meet with a specialist in a live video visit.

At Shasta Community Health Center, we welcome all gender patients for any health and wellness needs you may have.
Urgent Care
Shasta Community Health Center's urgent care was established to fill the gap between the primary care clinic and the emergency room by fulfilling the needs of our patients requiring immediate, non-life threatening medical attention.
Vision
Our vision services are open to patients who have Partnership Healthplan of California, Medi-Cal (Medicaid), or Medicare. This includes patients who have both Medicare and Medi-Cal. We offer discounted services to patients without insurance who are eligible for our sliding fee discount program.
Youth Outreach
Shasta Community Health Center offers a wide variety of services that can be used by young adults to help maintain a high level of physical and mental health. Many young people who are having problems with drugs or alcohol, depression, thoughts of suicide , sexually transmitted diseases, pregnancy, and other issues have been helped by caring professionals in an environment that respects their privacy and dignity.
