SCHC Hosts Specialists from Italy

On January 15th SCHC hosted Specialists who traveled from Italy to meet with two young SCHC patients about a rare condition. The Clinicians consulted with the childrens' primary care provider, Dr. Sean Dugan, as a follow-up to participation in a trial gene therapy in 2015. The visit was documented by KRCR reporter Jeremy Linder and was featured in the evening news.

This is the first visit of it's kind at SCHC, but our teams were happy to welcome and work closely with the visiting Specialists. There may be occassion for future visits in order to provide the best care possible for these patients. In the meantime, these siblings are in good hands with Dr. Dugan and his team.
