  • Dr. Matthew Miles, an infectious disease specialist, held a lecture for our staff on the COVID-19 virus, the vaccine, and the pandemic.
  • Dr. Miles covers the ICU at Mercy and has been in the middle of the hospital side of the community impact of the pandemic.
  • In this talk, Dr. Miles gives information on the mutating virus and the vaccine. This is a great talk to watch to and learn more information about COVID-19:

Booster Shots

  • COVID-19 booster shots are now being considered by the FDA. These shots are for the Pfizer vaccine. We await FDA/CDC approval of the Moderna vaccine but until then, only the Pfizer vaccine is available.
  • It is not recommended to mix vaccines.
  • To learn more about what groups are eligible for getting the booster please visit the CDC’s website
  • Talk with your provider about whether getting the Pfizer booster shot is appropriate for you.

Home Testing Kits

Some COVID home testing kits are being sent our way that we can give out to patients. This is in the works, please stay tuned for more information!
