Why Should I Get the Flu Shot?

Influenza (the flu) can cause serious disease that can lead to hospitalization and sometimes even death. Every flu season is different, and the flu can affect people differently. An annual flu shot is the best way to help protect against the flu because:

  • It’s easy.
  • It’s the right thing to do for you and your family.
  • The flu shot is safe.
  • It works and you can’t afford to ignore your health.

When Should I Get the Flu Shot?

You should get the flu shot NOW. The symptoms for COVID-19 and the flu are very similar. With COVID-19 spreading at the same time as the flu, it is important to lower the possible impacts on your respiratory system!

Will the Flu Shot Protect Me from COVID-19?

No, the flu shot will not help you avoid infection from COVID-19 because they are different viruses. But it will help you avoid being infected with both at the same time, which could be devastating!
