It's time for Open Enrollment!

This year Open Enrollment for Covered California starts early!
Some key dates to remember are:

  • October 15, 2018: Open Enrollment Begins
  • December 15, 2018: Last day to enroll or change your plan to have coverage beginning January 1, 2019
  • January 15, 2019: Last day to enroll or change your plan

Some important details:

  • The penalty for not having health insurance ends in 2019. You will no longer be penalized if you do not have insurance.
  • You can enroll into Medi-Cal anytime during the year if you qualify.
  • Medicare Open Enrollment also begins October 15, 2018 through December 7, 2018.

Disaster Related Fraud Prevention

Learn how natural disasters provide the perfect opportunity for identity thieves and fraudsters to take advantage of vulnerable victims. Mr. Jesrani will list the most recent natural disaster fraud schemes happening in Shasta County after the Carr Fire. We will also talk about how the Shasta County District Attorney’s Office is investigating and prosecuting these financial crimes, and will give you tips on how to prevent this type of criminal activity following the wake of a natural disaster.
