Youth Cooking Camp
The Youth Cooking Camp is back by popular demand! It’s offered in partnership with the Redding Library as a part of their Summer Reading Program. There will be two sessions, 3 days each, offered from 1-4pm. It is a hands-on camp and will teach youth, ages 9-12 years old, how to prepare healthy meals and snacks from a mix of different cultures. Participants will compete on teams to research, prepare, and present recipes.
Here are some of the details in a nutshell:
- Two sessions to choose from: Session 1, July 9th-11th or Session 2, July 23rd-25th.
- Learn about recipes from around the world.
- Work on teams to prepare delicious dishes.
- Grand prize drawing at the end of the week.
- Free apron for all youth who attend.
- Youth must be able to attend all three days.
Registration Required: Registration for SCHC patients will be at a first-come, first-served basis. Registration packets will be available for pick up May 13th – June 28th at the SCHC Main Clinic Patient Education Office between 8am-4pm, M-F, closed for lunch.

Diabetes Self-Management Workshop
Join us for this small-group workshop for anyone with diabetes, pre-diabetes, or who cares for someone with the condition. We will learn tools to manage symptoms and ways to live your best life. It is free to attend and meets once a week for 6 weeks.
When: May 3rd from 1-3:30pm
