Debbie Lupeika, MD - 2019 Clinician of the Year

ACU is proud to recognize Dr. Debbie Lupeika, MD for her years of dedicated service at Shasta Community Health Center developing physician leaders as well as her work with the California Primary Care Association to position community health centers at the forefront of Graduate Medical Education (GME). Dr. Lupeika not only helped pioneer one of the first Teaching Health Centers across the country in 2012, but she has also advocated strongly for over 3 years on behalf of community health centers to ensure that there is state funding for the development, expansion, and sustainability of residency programs. Her commitment to underserved communities is also evident in her advocacy of the Song-Brown Program to ensure that GME funding is dedicated to GME programs training and placing under-represented individual in underserved areas. ACU is honored to present Dr. Lupeika with the 2019 Clinician of the Year award.
