What is Week of the Young Child?

The Week of the Young Child focuses public attention on the needs of young children and their families and recognizes the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs.

  • Today we know more than ever before about the importance of children’s earliest years in shaping their learning and development.
  • It is our responsibility to ensure that each and every child experiences the type of early environment that will promote their early learning.

How is Shasta County celebrating this week?

There are MANY community events happening this week! From drive-thru community resource events, book giveaways, and much more! Take a look at the calendar of events sponsored by our community.

How can I help my child succeed?

Make sure you schedule your child for a Well Child Visit! We recommend these visits annually starting at the age of 3. At these visits we will:

  • Check your child’s growth
  • Ask important screening and development questions
  • Share what you can expect for your child’s age group and how to keep your child healthy.
  • These appointments are a great time to ask questions and share concerns about your child’s development.

To make an appointment for a Well Child Visit give us a call at (530) 246-5710 or if you are registered to use our patient portal, you can make your scheduling request using your computer.
