Doug McMullin, MD

Dr. McMullin has practiced as a family physician in the Redding community for 24 years. He studied chemistry at Brigham Young University prior to attending The Chicago Medical School. After three years in the US Navy, he finished Family Practice training in Redding at Mercy Medical Center. He joined the staff at Shasta Community Health Center in 2013 as clinician and now Associate Program Director of the Family Medicine Residency program at SCHC. In 2016, he completed a Faculty Development Fellowship at UC San Franciso. Dr. McMullin has developed a curriculum for Homeless Outreach involving students and residents and has been an advocate for housing and healthcare for the homeless. He currently directs the Medically Assisted Therapy program at Shasta Community Health Center, treating addiction in many forms.

Dr. McMullin and his wife, Sheri are the proud parents of 6 children. Goatpacking, hiking, gardening and swimming are favorite leisure activities.
