Services Provided at Shasta Community Health Center

Primary Healthcare Services
  • Family Practice and Pediatrics (Children's Health Services)
  • Primary care services are provided by a skilled team of primary care providers made up of family physicians, pediatricians, family nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
  • SCHC has on-site laboratory and x-ray services.

  • Specialty Care
    Specialty care is provided both on-site as well as through referral. Many of our local and regional specialty groups provide clinic time for referrals from SCHC's practice. Specialty care services are available but only through a referral by a designated primary care provider.

    Immunization Services
    Provided on-site. SCHC provides immunization services as part of a child's overall care.

    After Hours Sick Call Services
    For SCHC's patients only, there are medical professionals on-call to provide medical advice every evening, weekend and holiday.

    Obstetrics (Maternity Care)
    SCHC is a Comprehensive Perinatal Services Provider (CPSP) in Shasta County. We provide obstetric services to women who fit the medical criteria of "low risk". This service is comprehensive in nature. Please call our main appointment number for more information.

    The Breast Cancer Early Detection Program
    This State funded program gives income qualified women a opportunity to have a breast exam and if necessary a mammography test as well at no charge. Please call our nurse consultant at 246-5781 for further information.

    Early Intervention Services
    Early Intervention Services (E.I.S.) is a federally funded grant program to provide comprehensive care to those with HIV/AIDS. We are able to offer both primary care and referral to off-site services. Please call our Program Coordinator at 246-5764 for more information.


    Special Language Services
    Southeast Asian:
    SCHC does employ a Southeast Asian Interpreter and Community Health Worker. They can be contacted by calling our Southeast Asian Phone Line 246-5789.

    Spanish:
    We also have the services of Spanish speaking medical and support staff.

    For the hearing impaired:
    We have a dedicated TTY phone line for making appointments: 246-5732. SCHC also has staff who are proficient with sign language.
