America's Health Centers are special places, not just in the health care system, but in the fabric of the communities they serve. Community, Migrant, Homeless, and Public Housing Health Centers, also known as Federally-Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), are non-profit, providers of high-quality, affordable primary and preventive care serving low income and medically underserved communities. Every one of these organizations is a patient democracy, governed by a community board with a patient majority.

The Community of Community Health Centers campaign is a national branding effort to strengthen recognition of our Health Centers as a unified and nationwide network of quality community-based primary care providers. Initially created at the state level by the Pennsylvania Association of Community Health Centers (PACHC) and its membership, the National Association of Community Health Centers has expanded the campaign nationwide.
